New API Endpoints for importing and exporting data
We're excited to announce recent updates to our API. It is designed to enhance data interoperability by enabling import and export of People, and export of Studies and Panels.
Here are some common use cases we are excited to support:
✅ Import participant information from external sources, such as marketing platforms, event registrations, or customer success tools.
✅ Integrate with internal platforms to keep participant data synchronized across systems.
✅ Integrate with internal project management or communication tools, enabling automated notifications and updates for research team members when participants are added, studies are created, or status changes occur.

Customize when to capture consent for each study
You now have a choice of when in the opt-in process you want to capture consent from the participant. Select from:
- Before the participant starts the screener
- After they submit the screener
- Before the study starts
- After the study is completed
- Or, you'll share the consent form with the participant manually.
Randomize screener options to remove bias
When participants encounter screener questions with randomized answer choices, it prevents them from subconsciously favoring or dismissing specific options due to their order. This randomization helps to eliminate the primacy effect, where respondents might choose the first options simply because they see them first, and the recency effect, where they might select the last ones because they're most recent in their memory. By reducing these biases, researchers can gather more accurate and representative data in screeners.
- Streamlined Preview Experience: The consent form will now only appear once when previewing a screener or study, saving you time and providing a smoother setup process.
- Accurate Interview Booking: We've fixed bugs in the interview booking system to ensure available times are accurately displayed, eliminating confusion and ensuring a seamless scheduling experience for participants.
- Accurate Email Status Updates: Soft-bounced emails will now correctly update participant status to "Canceled" instead of "Opt-out," ensuring contact statuses remain accurate.
- Save Email Edits Prompt: When editing an email template, you'll be prompted to save or discard changes, helping you prevent accidental loss of updates and ensuring your emails remain as you intended.
- Enhanced Participant Clarity: External study names are now required to improve participant clarity and experience, providing clear and relevant information right from the start.
- Clear Interview Cancellation Info: Our updated confirmation modal now clearly explains what happens when an interview is canceled: the interview will be marked as canceled in Rally, and the calendar event will be deleted from all attendees calendars.
- Personalized Email Outreach: Add even more personalization in email communication, as all study variables are now available in survey emails, allowing you to tailor messages for each participant.
- Improved Screener Visibility: We've enhanced screener readability with black text and better contrast, ensuring participants can easily read and respond to questions.
