Rally's September Update

October 1, 2026

Rally Agent and MCP are generally available!

As of September 15, Rally Agent and Rally MCP are full released and available for any interested customer. Together, they let your team run research operations by simply describing what you need and having it handled end-to-end, inside the guardrails your workspace already enforces.

  • Rally Agent is Rally's built-in Research Ops agent, available in the Rally app and in Slack. Tell it what you need, and it builds the study from your approved templates, recruits from your panel or third-party sources, manages outreach, scheduling, and incentives, and helps synthesize what you learned.
  • Rally MCP brings those same capabilities to the AI tools your team already uses, like Claude. Connect Rally to your LLM of choice to call Rally's tools directly and build custom agentic workflows around your ongoing research.

Both run on the same governance as the rest of Rally. Cooldowns, blocklists, do-not-contact rules, consent, and workspace permissions apply at every step, so agents can contact real participants and issue incentives without working around your controls.

New to the Rally Agent and MCP? Check out articles on the Rally Agent, Rally MCP, and Setting up your workspace for the Rally Agent, and contact your CSM to discuss upgrading.

In addition to GA, this month's release expands what the Rally Agent and MCP can do across studies, recruitment, and scheduling. Here's what's new in September:

Create and manage surveys and unmoderated tests

In addition to interview, you can now use Rally Agent to create and manage surveys and unmoderated tests, and send recruitment emails. Move from study setup to outreach with fewer manual steps.

Manage participant quotas through the Agent and MCP

Building on Rally’s existing quotas, you can now configure participant targets, assign or move participants between quota groups, view progress, and route screener respondents into quota groups through Rally Agent and MCP.

Configure study scheduling

Manage study owners, teammate availability, interview limits, and multiple sessions per participant through the Rally Agent and MCP. Review and adjust scheduling settings without losing sight of your study’s requirements.

Surface relevant research moments

AI-assisted clip creation and discovery through the MCP helps you find relevant research moments with less manual clipping.

Bring observer feedback into post-session analysis

Retrieve observer-room comments through the Rally Agent and MCP, including authors, timestamps, and replies. Bring your team’s observations into post-session analysis alongside your research findings.

More improvements

  • More context in interview briefs: Briefs now include current-study participant notes, helping you retain relevant recruitment context.
