Our first product update of the year

January 13, 2025

Welcome to our first product update of 2025! ✨ We've released Study Templates to help you move faster and maintain structure, Study Limits to make ongoing research actually a reality, and features like Email Footers to keep your legal team happy.

Watch this 1 minute overview:

Move faster and maintain structure with Study Templates

Enable team members to build new studies quickly using pre-made templates. Build a study template from scratch, or convert existing studies into templates to ensure best practices are easily replicated across your team.

Control which teams have access to which templates (and which parts of the study they can edit), ensuring specific users, like beginner researchers, work within defined parameters. Duplicate templates for easy reuse, making it simple to iterate on proven study practices.

Ongoing research is actually possible with Study Limits

Set limits for how many interviews you conduct per week so that you can actually make the dream of ongoing research a reality.

Example: Set your Study Limit to 1 interview per week. If a time slot for that week has already been booked, participants will be prompted to book the next available date.

Pro tip: Set the available dates of the study to “Rolling date range” to book continuous interviews up to 3 months in advance.

Make your legal team’s day with Email Footers

Add your company’s legally required text to an email footer. Email footers are included in all emails that get sent from Rally.

Don’t have any legal speak to include in email footers? Use this feature to add a sign-up link to your user panel in every email. 😉

Pull participant data from Rally into Qualtrics surveys

Use hidden fields to pull participant data from Rally into Qualtrics. Use this to:

👉 Do analysis in Qualtrics on participant data captured and stored in Rally.

👉 Set up conditional logic in your Qualtrics surveys using data pulled from Rally.

👉 Use data such as the participant’s name to personalize surveys, or display other important data in Qualtrics surveys.

Make anonymous research actually anonymous by removing all branding

Choose to remove any traces of your brand from your outreach, screeners and studies to keep research truly anonymous.

Improvements and Fixes
  • Team admins can now modify any study they have access to.
  • Rally tags participants as a Partial Match when they meet some of the criteria you set for external panel recruitment studies. View their screener responses and decide if you want to approve or reject them from the study.
  • If you delete a person from a population, they will remain in any studies they were in.
  • Recruit participants from multiple user populations instead of just one (as long as your team has access to the population).
  • When you enable share links for a study, you now must select what population you want participants to be added to, or add them only to the database level.
  • We made it easier to organize your data when importing participants into a population or into a study.
  • We cleaned up actions that you can take from any table of participants in Rally: Add participants to an existing or new study, add participants to a population, add participants into a blocklist, or put participants in a manual cooldown.
  • We updated our onboarding flow to get Rally newbies up to speed faster.
